In this class we will learn the vocabulary of HipHop and learn basic to intermediate patterns and combinations. This class will also focus on the soul dances that influence and improve our HipHop abilities, while focusing on playing with rhythm patterns and having Fun in our freestyle.

Kemal Dempster

Multi-talented performer Kemal began his career studying Musical Theatre. Since graduating in 2007 he has gone from strength to strength in dance and his career has taken him around the world to places such as Las Vegas & Quebec with Cirque Du Soleil, Tokyo on tour with Nadia O and Bahrain for the F1 Grand Prix. Kemal has performed with numerous music artists and in many prestigious dance theatre and television shows. Highlights with Plague include winning the 2011 Hip Hop International World Dance Championships in Las Vegas, being a finalist on BBC3’s „Move Like Michael Jackson“ and starring in the iconic Michael Jackson tribute stage show „MJ Timeless“. Kemal is able to turn his hand to hip-hop, locking, popping, house, jazz, tap, ballet, contemporary, contact, ballet and jazz pas de deux. With such a diverse range of styles under his belt Kemal is one of the UK’s most versatile dancers and performers. Kemal is a member of PLAGUE Dance Company.
